VisiCom Systems Inc.
is a full service videoconferencing integrator that specializes
in supplying videoconferencing systems for distant learning and
general business applications. We sell, install and service equipment
manufactured by Polycom, Tandberg and VTEL. In addition to selling
these manufacturer's standard systems, we engineer and install custom
rooms built around the manufacturer's codec.
In January of 1994, VisiCom Systems Inc. was selected by the State
of North Carolina to supply distant learning systems for the North
Carolina Information Highway. Our contract with the state has been
renewed every year since 1994. Since 1998, we have installed more
complete room systems than any other integrator. We have installed
systems at Community Colleges, High Schools, Health Departments,
the NC School of Science Mathematics Cyber Campuses and state agencies.
VisiCom Systems employs full-time videoconferencing service technicians
who are based in North Carolina.
In 1998, we were approved as a vendor for the State of Mississippi
Express Product List. We are approved to sell the Polycom, Tandberg
and VTEL product lines in the state. To provide service to our customers
in the state, we have a full time videoconferencing service technician
based in Mississippi.
Depending upon the customer's requirements, we can install the
manufacturers standard line of roll-about systems or build a custom
system utilizing the manufacturers codec platform. For our custom
systems, we use industry proven components that offer superior performance
and meet demanding duty cycles. A sample list of vendors is AMX
(control system), Shure microphones, Autopatch switchers, Hitachi
cameras, etc.
As a part of our sales program, we will meet with a prospective
customer to present our company's capabilities and begin the effort
to earn a prospective customer's business. If requested, we will
look at rooms that the customer has selected for a videoconferencing
site. We will offer suggestions regarding site selection and can
provide references for lighting and acoustical treatments. There
is no charge for pre-sales calls.
Service and Support are critical to the successful implementation
of a distant learning or videoconferencing system. We employ full
time Service Technicians to install, service and provide support
for our customers. The customer will have direct access to their
assigned service technician as well as toll-free access to a trouble
desk for telephone support. While the customer is covered by a system
warranty or one of VisiCom's service / support contracts, there
is no charge for telephone support, on-site assistance or additional
user training.
